Last night, Turlock City Council unanimously approved an agreement partnering with Fresno State University to offer virtual educational training classes at no cost to Turlock residents of all ages. This is a paramount workforce development/talent development opportunity for the City. Registration is now open for Turlock residents (of all ages), with the next set of classes to begin the week of 10/21/2024. Turlock residents of all ages will have the option to enroll in the following no-cost virtual courses: Digital Literacy 1-4 Financial Literacy Parenting Skills Pathway to College Health and Wellness Small Business Development Social Emotional Learning English Conversion Spanish Conversion Each course will meet 2 times per week for 2 hours of instruction per training session, virtually for a duration of 4 weeks. Upon completing each course, participants will be provided Certificates of Completion from California State University Fresno.
