The closer he got to graduation for his CPA, he realized it wasn’t the right fit. “I kind of figured out … I don't know that I want to sit behind a desk every day.” Instead, he found his calling with the City of St. Peters Police Department, where Officer Blattel was recently named “Officer of the Quarter” for all he does for our community.?“If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t make any changes,” he said. Meet Brian: Retired after 35 years as a firefighter … and still Making a Difference! ? Just two days after leaving his first career, Brian started a new career with the City of St. Peters. As a fire inspector, he worked closely with St. Peters inspectors, making friends with people who are now his co-workers. ?
