??Balloons are parading over Broadway! ?? First and fourth graders at Coverdell Elementary School paraded their balloons throughout the halls to prepare for Thanksgiving! They read "Balloons Over Broadway" and learned about Tony Sarg, the puppeteer who invented the giant balloons that float down Broadway on Thanksgiving. #StCharlesProud

???? We now pronounce you Letter Buddies! ???? Kindergartners at Harris Elementary School wrapped up their unit about letters and letter sounds with the wedding of Q and U! Superintendent Dr. Jason Sefrit proudly stood as Letter Q, while Principal Michelle Whitrock made a lovely Letter U. The officiant declared them lifelong partners, emphasizing that Q and U are quite inseparable. The students had a blast, and our youngest learners now know that wherever Q goes, U is right there too. #StCharlesProud

?? Paraprofessionals make positive differences for children each day ?? We asked Nancy Fox at Monroe Elementary why she loves making a difference as a paraprofessional. #StCharlesProud "I decided to be para at Monroe because my son needed extra support when he was there, and the love and patience they showed him was outstanding. I wanted to touch the lives of other children like the paras and staff touched our lives. They saw my son as a person, not a problem, and loved us through the struggles. I can’t say enough good things about the City of St. Charles School District. I’m so grateful to not only be a parent with children in the district but to work alongside some of the greatest!" If you want to make a difference like Nancy, apply to be a paraprofessional in SCSD: https://lnkd.in/gpveM-U5

City of St. Charles School District转发了
A wonderful start to my final year of high school with the City of St. Charles School District. Being able to go to St. Charles County CAPS everyday is a once in a lifetime experience I never would have even dreamed of. I would like to thank Erica Land, the director of the Center for Advance Professional Studies for keeping an enticing program for all to go to. I would also like to thank Kelly Cope and Kyle Gaines for bringing a paramedic exploration program to the St. Charles County Ambulance District for giving me the opportunity to be part of the program. Lastly I would like to recognize the tremendous effort Daniel Sacre and Brooke Theodorakos MS, RD, LD, our CAPS instructors for ensuring we are ready and have the confidence to be prepared for our many shadowing opportunities within BJC Health System, SSM Health and Mercy! I am very thankful for all of these opportunities and I cannot wait for what the future withholds.

?? We love our education support professionals??? When you ask a child about their school day, they likely have a story about the bus driver who gets them to and from school safely, the nurse who takes care of them when they don't feel well, the secretary who greets them every morning with a smile, the cafeteria worker who feeds them healthy meals at lunch, the custodian who helped them clean up a spill or the paraprofessional who provides them with the space to learn and grow every day.?#StCharlesProud These educational support professionals, and more, work alongside other caring adults to help our students get what they need to succeed. We appreciate their commitment to our children. Who is an educational support professional that you love and appreciate? Give them a shoutout below!

?? We love our parent educators ?? Today is National Parents as Teachers Day, and we have to spotlight this phenomenal program and our extraordinary parent educators. #StCharlesProud PAT is an early childhood home visiting program designed to help families learn more about parenting, support their children’s development and assist with parenting challenges. Research tells us that greater parent involvement is a critical link in the child’s development of learning, including reading and writing. Parent educators support guardians as they navigate parenthood through home visits, connecting families to resources and conducting developmental screenings. For more information about the program or to enroll, please see our website: https://lnkd.in/gzqn8w2N Are you currently in PAT, or did you used to be enrolled? If so, give your parent educator a shoutout in the comments.
