关于我们
Siloam Springs is a municipal government in Benton County, Arkansas. The city shares a border on the Arkansas-Oklahoma state line with the town of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. The city was founded in 1882 and was characterized by the purported healing powers of the spring water feeding Sager Creek, which runs through downtown Siloam Springs and trading with nearby Native American tribes. John Brown University (JBU) was founded in 1919 as a private, interdenominational, Christian liberal arts college in the city. Today, Siloam Springs is known for its efforts to preserve and revitalize the city's historic downtown. The community is located on the western edge of the growing NW Arkansas metropolitan area and has had a population increase of 13.7% to 17,100 between 2010 and the 2019 population estimate. In 2012, the city was named one of the 20 best small towns in America by Smithsonian magazine and has won numerous awards and accolades. The city houses the electric, water, wastewater, trash, recycling, streets, public library, a municipal airport, building, planning, engineering, district court, police, fire, economic development, cemetery, parks and recreation, and animal shelter divisions internally.

Siloam Springs High School Human Geography students got a firsthand look at urban development in action! ????? Their day started with lunch at Fratelli's Wood-Fired Pizzeria, followed by a walking tour of downtown, where they explored the history that shaped Siloam Springs. With Community Development Directors Kris Paxton, Senior Planner Ben Rhoads, and Current Planner Maegan Thomas leading the way, students then explored zoning, development, and comprehensive planning right here in Siloam Springs. Their tour included stops at Heritage Ranch subdivision, the new Sherwin-Williams store, and the future Siloam Station—soon to be home to Olive Garden, Chili's Grill & Bar, and McDonald's. A big thank you to Teacher Anna Bearden for making this real-world learning experience possible! ?? #HumanGeography #SiloamSprings #UrbanDevelopment

?? UTILTIY BILLING UPDATE ?? While BS&A Payments will implement new software for most City departments starting March 24, Utility Billing will NOT be switching to BS&A at this time. Due to an issue with integrating automated meters, the transition is delayed. We expect to have an updated timeline at a later time. ?? HOW TO PAY UTILITY BILLS Until further notice, all utility bills will continue to be paid through Xpress BillPay—in person at City Hall, online, or via the drop box—just like before. Other City bills (not utility bills) will move to BS&A Payments on March 24. We’ll provide updates as soon as we have more details. Thank you for your patience!

?? We are making changes to our annual Spring Cleanup to improve efficiency and better serve residents! ?? Instead of a single-week event, Spring Cleanup will now take place over four weeks, with each trash route assigned a specific week. SPRING CLEANUP SCHEDULE: ? Monday trash route → Pickup the week of March 31 – April 4 (Place items out by Sunday, March 30) ? Tuesday trash route → Pickup the week of April 7 – 11 (Place items out by Sunday, April 6) ? Wednesday trash route → Pickup the week of April 14 – 18 (Place items out by Sunday, April 13) ? Thursday trash route → Pickup the week of April 21 – 25 (Place items out by Sunday, April 20) ?? PLEASE NOTE: Residents must place bulky items at the curb by Sunday evening before their assigned pickup week. Once crews have serviced an area, they will not return. ?? By spreading out the collection over four weeks, we aim to reduce congestion, improve pickup efficiency, and ensure that crews can collect more effectively.
