Port St. Lucie is a hometown where people live, learn, work, play and celebrate all of life’s opportunities and dreams.

关于我们

The City of Port St. Lucie is proud to be a hometown where people live, learn, work, play and celebrate all of life’s opportunities. With over 245,000 residents, Port St. Lucie is Florida’s sixth largest city by population, and South Florida’s third largest city. Our city was incorporated in 1961 by a development group with a goal to sell quarter-acre lots to retirees. We were formed without key infrastructure – like sidewalks, streetlights, water and sewer. Over six decades, we’ve overcome all these obstacles to become an award-winning, diverse and thriving city for all people. We know now that what made us different from our neighbors has only made us stronger over the years -- and engrained a determined and resilient spirit in our citizens. • The City of Port St. Lucie is hosting an open house to provide information about proposed roundabouts at the intersections of SW Paar Drive at SW Savona Boulevard and SW Paar Drive at SW Darwin Boulevard. The open house provides residents with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed plans and provide feedback. 📅 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 31 📍 Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd. The addition of roundabouts at these two intersections are proposed to improve safety and traffic flow efficiency. Roundabouts have been implemented throughout the City to reduce vehicle speed and enhance safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. Additionally, the project will include 12-foot pathways that will improve safe access for pedestrians and cyclists along the roadway. It will also feature improved drainage with curb and gutter system around roundabout improvements, as well as pedestrian crosswalks, and roadway and pedestrian lighting. The project design is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and construction is anticipated to begin in Fiscal Year 2025-26.

  • Congratulations are in order for the Utility Systems Department! 🥳 One of the world’s primary credit rating agencies recently affirmed the City of Port St. Lucie’s Utility System Revenue Bonds with an AA rating. In 2024, Fitch Ratings upgraded the Utility System Revenue Bonds from AA- to AA with a Stable Outlook, which reflected a significant enhancement in the Utility System’s financial profile. This February, Fitch reaffirmed the AA rating. It also assessed the Utility System’s Standalone Credit Profile (SCP) at aa, which represents the credit profile of the Utility System on its own and without any connection to the credit quality of the City of Port St. Lucie. Taken together, the AA bond rating and the aa SCP reflect a "very strong" financial profile. Fitch noted that the Utility System is “well positioned” to address growth in its service area, which the rating agency noted was “very favorable” and featured strong customer growth.
