Beginning Monday, the City of Pilot Point, in cooperation with Precision Road Services, will begin work on Phase 2 of the Downtown Sidewalk Project. Thanks to a Texas Community Development Block Grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture, we will be able to help improve safety and mobility throughout our downtown with these sidewalks! Our City Departments were well represented at today’s Pilot Point Independent School District Career Fair, part of Pilot Point Works in collaboration with Pilot Point Municipal Development District and Pilot Point Chamber! Thanks to Pilot Point Fire Department, Pilot Point Police Department, Public Works, Finance and HR, Development Services and Pilot Point Main Street for taking the time to talk about the City to the future leaders of our community. #wearepilotpoint

Pilot Point Police Department Chief Angela Mathews continued her introduction to the community, followed by a presentation on 2024 accomplishments by Pilot Point Fire Department Chief Heath Hudson, including construction updates on Public Safety Station 3, our new vehicles for the station and images of our Ladder Truck in action (presentation in comment section). Chief Hudson also highlighted programs the Fire Department offers to local businesses wishing to do employee training, including CPR/AED Training, Stop the Bleed, and Fire Extinguisher Training. If you make $67,000 annually or less, United Way of Denton County's VITA Tax Program will be on hand Thursday evenings from 4-6:30 pm at the Pilot Point Community Library to offer tax preparation assistance, beginning now through April 10. These IRS-certified volunteers will assist with sorting through all of your paperwork and filing your taxes FOR FREE. #wearepilotpoint
