The Council Workshop on House Bill 1365 and Homelessness has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 6:00 pm in Palm Bay Council Chambers located at 120 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay. The Workshop was postponed at the request of City Council during the November 7, 2024, regular council meeting. Additionally, the City is seeking input from community stakeholders via an online survey available at www.pbfl.org/unhoused. Members of the public and media partners are invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony for incumbent Mayor Rob Medina, Councilman-elect Richard ‘Mike’ Hammer, Councilman-elect Chandler Langevin, and Councilman-elect Mike Jaffe. The ceremony will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in Palm Bay Council Chambers, located at 120 Malabar Road SE. At the swearing-in, the Oath of Office will be administered to each incoming councilmember, affirming their commitment to faithfully serve the citizens of Palm Bay as outlined in the City Charter. The ceremony will also serve as a farewell to outgoing officials Deputy Mayor Donny Felix and Councilman Philip Weinberg. The swearing-in ceremony will be streamed live on the City of Palm Bay's website, on the City’s YouTube Channel, and on the City’s Facebook page.

The City of Palm Bay is now seeking applications from eligible 501(c)3 non-profit entities to use the facilities at the Evans Center, located at 1361 Florida Ave NE in northeast Palm Bay, to provide services for Palm Bay’s youth and at-risk youth, defined as individuals aged 16-25.
