NOTICE: SALT BRINE APPLICATION SUSPENDED DUE TO COLD TEMPERATURES Due to the extremely cold temperatures this morning, the Public Works Department will not be applying salt brine to roadways. Salt brine is most effective when temperatures are above 15 degrees F, as it requires some moisture to work properly. With temperatures too low, brine can freeze upon contact with the pavement, creating hazardous conditions instead of improving them. Our crews will continue monitoring road conditions and will adjust our treatment approach as needed. Thank you.
