The Veteran's Villas at San Antonio Drive marked a significant milestone with its Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Friday, November 15th. This new community, a testament to our commitment to our veteran families, consists of 60 affordable rental homes, a third of which are dedicated to veterans who have experienced homelessness. The ribbon cutting was held at the intersection of San Antonio and Foster in the City of Norwalk, California. Thank you, Recreation and Park Services staff, for planning and delivering another phenomenal event. (Sonia Batres, Rosie Lozoya, Monica Trevino, Vicki Gonzalez, Maurisabel Camacho, Vanessa Piceno, Patricia Santana, M.A., Pati Garcia, and Allison Franco). Special Kudos to the Communications and Public Affairs Department led by Levy S., and his fantastic team Rosalee Mira C. Santa Ana, Wendy Sahagun-Guzman, Jocelyn H., Justin Machuca, and Musse. Thank you to the Public Safety and Public Services Departments for their coordinated efforts, led by Damian Rosales, Rita Ruiz, MPA, and Richard Newton, MPA, CEM. Lastly, thank you to our City Manager, Jesus Gomez, Deputy City Manager Ozzie Ramos and the Norwalk City Council for their leadership and vision in making this project a reality and assisting our veterans.
