This morning, Mayor Pro-tem Scott Black, Councilwoman Ruth Garcia-Anderson, and Councilman Isaac E. Barron had the honor of attending the groundbreaking ceremony for Visions Park, an affordable housing project designed to support our blind and visually impaired residents. This project represents a significant step toward making North Las Vegas a more accessible and compassionate community.

This morning, Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown testified in Washington, D.C., at the Congressional Hearing on H.R. 1504, the Apex Area Technical Corrections Act. Authored by Congressman Steven Horsford, this vital bill will drive economic expansion and create long-term career opportunities in a historically underserved part of North Las Vegas. In addition to bringing new jobs, the bill will expedite and simplify the permitting process in Apex, reducing the workload for our local Bureau of Land Management (BLM) office. This will be a huge win for the community, developers and the businesses that want to be part of the North Las Vegas community.
