Yesterday, President of Council Donald Boerger and Economic Development Director Eric Phillips attended a reception hosted by Consul General of Japan Detroit Hajime Kishimori-san.?The reception was held at the Consul General’s residence in Michigan in honor of the Japanese Emperor’s Birthday.??Also pictured are David Cook, Honorary Consul of Japan in Ohio; Chris Groomes, Mayor of Dublin; and Deb Scherer, One Columbus.

Marysville City Council is searching for a citizen to serve as an At-Large City Council Member for the remaining one-year term of 1/1/25 through 12/31/25. Applicants must reside in the City of Marysville and not occupy an incompatible office. To apply, please send a letter of interest and resume to Clerk of Council, McKenzie Proudfoot ([email protected]), by 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025. About City Council Council Members represent their community by actively participating in the City’s legislative process. This includes introducing or voting on ordinances/resolutions, reviewing and approving the budget, and generally advocating for the needs of the citizens of Marysville through public meetings and engagement with residents. Further, Marysville City Council operates under the Rules of Council. These rules define their culture and reflect expectations of how the City Council operates through the City of Marysville's core values of Quality Customer Service, Accountability Throughout the Organization, Respect, Proactive Communication and Teamwork.
