The Margate Community Redevelopment Agency (MCRA) approved a project to install three gateway signs as part of the city's Wayfinding Signage Program. These signs will be located at key entry points along State Road 7 and Atlantic Boulevard, welcoming visitors and enhancing the city's visual appeal. The signs are part of a Community Aesthetic Feature Agreement between the MCRA and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), which allows for their installation and maintenance in FDOT's right-of-way. The specific locations include: North Sign - State Road 7, south of SR 834 (W. Sample Road) South Sign - State Road 7, north of SW 8th Court East Sign - State Road 814 (Atlantic Boulevard), east of Banks Road West Sign - State Road 814 (W. Atlantic Blvd.), east of NW 80th Terrace The west sign is under Broward County jurisdiction and is being approved through a separate process with the County.
