The City of Manteca is looking for an Urban Forestry Technician to join our team and help maintain and grow our beautiful urban forest. ??What You’ll Do: - Care for city trees by planting, pruning, and maintaining their health. - Diagnose and treat tree diseases and pests. - Operate and maintain forestry equipment, including chainsaws and aerial lifts. - Respond to emergencies like fallen trees or storm damage. - Help build a greener, more sustainable city through urban forestry projects. ??What We’re Looking For: - At least 2 years of experience in tree care or urban forestry. - Knowledge of tree biology, health assessments, and pest management. - A valid Class B California Driver’s License (Class A CDL within 12 months of date of hire). - Valid Qualified Applicator Certificate (Within 12 months of date of hire) - Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. ??Why Work for Us? - Competitive pay and benefits package. - Health, dental, and vision coverage. - Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. - Professional development and certification opportunities. ??Join us in making Manteca greener and healthier!??
