With 103 stalls total, including RV, ADA, and EV charging stalls, enjoy the benefits of parking here for $1 less per hour than the downtown parking lots.???? We held a short and sweet ribbon-cutting to celebrate the City's new inclusive playground behind the former Osborn Elementary School. We commend the patience of all the kiddos who turned up for the reopening - we hope it was worth the wait! Below are a few words of thanks and recognition spoken by our City Administrator, Selby, that day... "This new playground is a testament to the mayor’s vision and ongoing dedication to a more inclusive future for the Leavenworth community. Today, we celebrate the grand reopening of a playground that truly caters to all ages and abilities. This project has been a labor of love and collaboration and is a testament to what we can achieve when we come together for a common purpose. First and foremost, we are immensely grateful to the Neighborhood Playground Committee. Your countless hours of dedication and hard work have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. Your passion and commitment are truly inspiring. I would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the City’s project lead John Schons and the talented designers at Great Western Recreation whose expertise helped transform this space into a haven of fun and accessibility for everyone. And to our wonderful community, thank you for your patience and support throughout this project. Your understanding and cooperation have been invaluable, and we are so excited to unveil this project. And lastly, a thank you to Crunch Pak for generously donating snacks for today’s event.
