Meet Taylor Hall, Lawrence Transit’s dedicated Transit Planner II! Born and raised in Lawrence, Taylor is Athabascan and Cherokee, with deep roots in the community as a proud Haskell Rascal (both parents met at Haskell). After earning a bachelor's from Haskell Indian Nations University and two master’s degrees from KU in Urban Planning and Geography, Taylor now combines data analysis and federal compliance expertise to make Lawrence’s transit system work better for everyone. ? As a planner, Taylor embraces the Athabascan value of Kayax?— “responsibility to village” — striving to create an equitable, accessible transit system that serves everyone, from pedestrians to those who cannot or choose not to drive. Taylor is working on an exciting new data dashboard for Lawrence Transit and analyzing ways to optimize bus routes, making transit safer, more efficient, and user-friendly.
