This pivotal role ensures the integrity and transparency of our municipal operations, acting as the official custodian of city records and facilitating the legislative process. Key Responsibilities: ??Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of official city records, including minutes, ordinances, and resolutions. ??Coordinating municipal elections in collaboration with the Duval County Supervisor of Elections. ??Managing public records requests in compliance with Florida’s Sunshine Laws. ??Providing administrative support to the City Council and ensuring adherence to procedural protocols. Qualifications: ??Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field is preferred. ??At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, with a focus on records management or legislative processes. ??Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred; commitment to obtaining certification required. ??Strong knowledge of Florida statutes related to municipal clerks and public records. ??Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
