Robert Sauceda has recently joined the City of Hurst as the new Executive Director of Public Works. He is a dedicated professional with more than 25 years of municipal experience in project management, construction and design. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from New Mexico State University. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas. Before Robert came to Hurst, he served as the Engineering Manager for the City of Irving in the Capital Improvement Program Department. Prior to that, he spent 16 years with the City of Fort Worth Water, Transportation, and Public Works Departments in different roles. He has worked on water and wastewater conveyance, treatment, pipeline, trenchless construction, project management, water supply and distribution, master planning, street, highway, and drainage projects in Texas and New Mexico. In addition to his professional pursuits, Robert is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is the current Vice President and board member of the Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA) North Texas Chapter. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and mentoring emerging professionals in the field.
