Today was an exciting day of hands-on learning at the #Hesperia Public Works Yard! Students from the Career Technical Education programs at Sultana High School, Hesperia High School, Oak Hills High School, and Apple Valley High School gained real-world experience through demonstrations in graffiti removal, sewer system inspections using specialized cameras, water service hot tapping, concrete slab work, building and safety inspections, surveying, and public works inspection processes. We're grateful to Silverwood California and Mountain Desert Career Pathways for providing these invaluable opportunities to help students prepare for their future careers. And the learning doesn't stop here—students will return next week to further their skills with resume building, mock interviews, and career discussions!
