Amazon has officially acquired a 143-acre parcel in Fort Myers to develop its first robotics fulfillment center in Southwest Florida ! This strategic investment will create over 1,000 full-time jobs featuring competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and pre-paid college tuition opportunities. As a critical hub in the customer order journey, the facility will house products, handle packaging, and initiate shipments when orders are placed on Amazon. This milestone represents Amazon's continued commitment to economic growth and innovation in Southwest Florida, delivering value directly to customers through local investment. ??♂? Excited for the great work being done by Apex Companies, LLC in support of the City of Fort Myers' long-term program of eliminating surface water discharges to the Caloosahatchee River.
Apex, as prime consultant, in collaboration with a team of engineers and contractors, is overseeing the construction of one of the largest deep injection wells in Florida for the City of Fort Myers. The City will utilize the 3000-foot-deep well to dispose of up to 40-million gallons a day of treated wastewater effluent, which is currently being discharged to a local river.
