Established as a trading post in 1836 by Lieutenant Lancaster Lupton, the City of Fort Lupton has been a foundation of the Colorado Front Range for nearly 200 years. Anchored along the South Platte River with a stunning panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains in Eastern Colorado, Fort Lupton has grown from its humble beginnings to an idyllic Colorado community.     Picture it... Spaghetti dinner, a nice glass of wine, live entertainment, games, and more with your friends! Yes, please! Catered by our very own award-winning Wholly Stromboli, make a difference in the lives of local students by attending our Spaghetti Dinner at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center on Wednesday, April 16th! Help us celebrate 17 years of breaking bread for a great cause. 100% of the proceeds from this dinner go directly to purchase school supplies (everything from backpacks to modeling clay to notebooks to computers) for our local Weld Re-8 School District schools, K-12. Location: Fort Lupton Rec. Center, 203 S. Harrison Ave. Doors open at 5pm (last call for dinner at 6:30pm) Cost: $20 Adult (includes choice of 1 beer or win) | $10 Youth (10 & Under) *Includes dinner, salad, fresh bread with olive oil dip, dessert and beverages. The City is updating its 2018 Comprehensive plan this year, looking to culminate the community’s vision for 2050.   • Year round our School Resource Officers make sure that students and staff are safe, following the protocols that are applicable to the different situations a school in the district could face. Shoutout to Officer Cuney for doing a great job in demonstrating how a lockdown safety procedure takes place within Weld Re-8 School District!

  • With spring right around the corner, it is typical for people to get rid of many old things around the house. The City will provide several days in April that will benefit residents with their spring cleaning. Spring Clean-Up Day will be on Saturday, April 12th, Cemetery Clean-Up Days will be the week of the 21st through the 25th, and Shredding Day will be on Monday, April 28th. More details to come on each event soon.

  • Community members were able to talk and get to know our Fort Lupton Police Officers this morning at our Coffee with a Cop event at the Fort Lupton Rec Center! Join us on the first Wednesday of every month from 8 - 9 am in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center. Remember that you can always reach our police department through our non-emergency number 720-652-4222.
