?? 150 Years of Blossoming Together! ?? This September, the City of Flowery Branch celebrated a remarkable 150th anniversary—a time to reflect on how we've grown together over the years. Flowery Branch was established in 1874, just one year after the Richmond and Danville Air-Line Railroad built a rail line through the area, connecting Charlotte to Atlanta. Farmers raising livestock had been living in the region since at least the early 19th century, when the town was known as Anaguluskee, meaning "flowers on the branch." This celebration not only honored the past but also looked forward to the future, embracing the vibrant community that has blossomed over the years. The pictures below highlight our City’s journey, showcasing both its rich history and dynamic present. A heartfelt thank you to all our residents, visitors, and staff.
