“Fitchburg Fire Rescue cannot do it alone, but we are a critical component to successful outcomes.”
Confined space rescue is a challenging technical rescue involving removing patients from places with limited ingress and egress. To prepare for these types of emergencies, regular training is a necessity. Dr. Michael Spigner (top picture), an EMS physician in the University of Wisconsin Department of Emergency Medicine, regularly trains with a specialized team of firefighters and paramedics from the City of Fitchburg Fire Department, Verona Fire District, and Fitch-Rona EMS. This collaboration harmonizes high-level medical care with rescue expertise to promote the highest levels of capability and preparedness. ______________________________ #ems #emergencymedicine #firefighter #paramedic #firstresponder #prehospital #prehospitalmedicine #emt #medic #stopthebleed #confinedspacetraining #training #simulation #tactical #teamwork #emsphysician #emresidency #whyuwem
