???? March Fire Safety Reminder: Protecting Our Little Ones! ???? With the time change, now is the perfect moment to check and replace the batteries in your smoke alarms! A working smoke alarm gives your family precious time to escape in an emergency. Here are a few fire safety tips to keep your children safe: ? Check Smoke Alarms: Test alarms monthly and replace batteries if needed. Teach kids what a smoke alarm sounds like and what to do when they hear it. ? Plan & Practice: Create a fire escape plan with at least two ways out of every room. Practice fire drills with your children so they know where to go. ? Keep Matches & Lighters Away: Store them out of reach and teach kids they are NOT toys! ? Watch the Kitchen: Never leave young children alone near the stove, and keep pot handles turned inward to prevent burns. ? Stop, Drop & Roll: Make sure your children know what to do if their clothes catch fire.
