In Duvall, we are grateful to live on land with a longstanding Indigenous history. We honor the Snoqualmie, Tulalip, and other Coast Salish peoples whose ancestral lands surround us and whose presence continues to inspire our community today. As we approach 2025, the City of Duvall sets a focused agenda to create an even stronger, more connected community. Our legislative priorities are aligned with values that matter most to our residents—safety, sustainability, infrastructure, and inclusivity. Infrastructure Investment: Our growing community needs modernized infrastructure. We're prioritizing updating our Public Works Yard, Police Department and City Hall. We also must prioritize securing funding for critical infrastructure needs like 3rd Avenue, emergency operations and community/small business gathering spaces. Expanding City Parks: We want to continue the expansion of the Big Rock Ball Field complex and seek opportunities to expand McCormick Park for additional recreation while balancing the impacts on the natural environment and shoreline. Transportation and Public Safety: We need to secure funding to address transportation and public safety needs such as safety cameras, lighted sidewalks, and transportation studies at Hwy 203/ Woodinville-Duvall Rd intersections and Cherry Valley Rd & Main Street. Address intersections throughout the City to improve accessibility and safety. Housing Affordability & Diversity: Access to affordable, diverse housing options is critical to a vibrant community. We'll advocate for housing affordability policies, ensuring Duvall remains a welcoming place for everyone. And much more!
