Duvall’s first Holi Celebration! This weekend, we made history in Duvall by hosting our first-ever Holi Festival, and what an incredible experience we had! The energy was electric—laughter, music, dancing, and a kaleidoscope of colors filled the air as people of all ages came together to celebrate unity, renewal, and the arrival of spring. It was heartwarming to see our community embrace this beautiful tradition, connect, and share in the joy that Holi represents. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, our fantastic partner Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, our outstanding Community Events Coordinator Rita Moreno, and all the staff who made this event happen. Your support made this event unforgettable, and we hope this marks the beginning of an annual tradition in Duvall! Here’s to more moments of togetherness, diversity, and vibrant celebrations in our City. Until next year—Happy Holi! #HoliFestival #CityofDuvall #CommunityCelebration #FestivalOfColors #SpringFest #CulturalCelebration #TogetherWeCelebrate

  • Duvall goes to the Hill! The Duvall delegation had the privilege of joining the Association of Washington Cities (AWC), a key organization representing the interests of Washington cities, for an incredible visit to Capitol Hill. Our team had the opportunity to meet with Senator Maria Cantwell and staff members from Senator Patty Murray's office to discuss the ongoing legislative year and the issues that matter most to our communities. Our Mayor, Amy Ockerlander, as president of the Association of Washington Cities, spearheaded the visit, which was full of delegates from other WA cities. The discussions were insightful, providing a deeper understanding of the priorities and strategies for the year ahead, especially in infrastructure, local government support, and community development. These conversations are vital as we continue to work together to strengthen our local economies and enhance the quality of life for our residents. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Senator Cantwell and Senator Murray's staff for their time, dedication, and willingness to engage with local leaders on these crucial issues. Their collaboration with Washington cities and our federal representatives is essential and deeply appreciated. It ensures that the voices of our communities are heard and represented at the highest levels of government. Looking forward to continued dialogue and progress in the legislative session! Together, we can positively impact our great state and our great City. #AWC #CityofDuvall #LegislativeAdvocacy #CommunityLeadership #CapitolHill #PublicPolicy #WashingtonState #SenatorCantwell #SenatorMurray #Collaboration
