Come out December 5th to a community meeting to hear about and provide input on a proposed zoning change that would allow for recycled paper mills in business parks in Dayton. This proposal has been submitted by Saica Group, a company that is looking to potentially build a recycled paper mill at Little Richmond and Olive Rd. Community input is encouraged at this meeting, at our Plan Board meeting, and/or via email to me at [email protected]. City of Dayton | City of Dayton - Planning, Neighborhoods & Development (PND)

Since 2022, the Dayton Convention Center has undergone a transformative $45 million renovation and upgrade. This upgrade included numerous improvements including mechanical, structural, and cosmetic updates, such as new lighting, carpeting, and even an adult changing table. Kudos to Pam Plageman, her team, and the Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority (MCCFA) Board for their tireless commitment to making the Dayton Convention Center, the PLACE for local, regional, and national events.

Exciting news for Dayton! ?? The City of Dayton has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation's #SafeRoutestoSchool infrastructure grant program. This funding will be used to construct a new off-street multi-use path in 2027, connecting the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton, DeSoto Bass Housing, Louise Troy Elementary School, and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. This project, identified in our 2023 #ActiveTransportation Plan, demonstrates Dayton's commitment to creating a safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians, with a special focus on our youth. Many thanks to our partners for bringing this vision together: Dayton Public Schools, CityWide Development Corporation, Boys & Girls Club of Dayton, Ohio, and Greater Dayton Premier Management. #DaytonOhio #BecauseWePlan
