As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, preparedness, and continuous learning, City staff participated in a mandated Narcan training last week. Facilitated by Georgia Harm Reduction Coalition, this session provided essential knowledge and hands-on practice in administering Narcan (naloxone), a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. We are grateful to Georgia Harm Reduction for not only equipping our team with these critical skills but also donating four cases of Narcan to the City. Each staff member also received Narcan to take home, ensuring they are prepared to help in an emergency. (Community Assistance, Resources, Empowerment, and Support) Grant to support organizations making a real difference in the lives of our residents.
