In partnership with Crosland Southeast, the city hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 20 for Evoke Living at Eastland Yards, the first completed phase of the Eastland Yards redevelopment project. “Evoke Living at Eastland Yards is more than just a housing development; it’s a symbol of Eastland’s bright future and our efforts to enhance East Charlotte,” said District 5 Council Member Marjorie Molina. The completion of Evoke Living at Eastland Yards represents the first milestone in the larger Eastland Yards project, a multi-phase redevelopment designed to revitalize the former Eastland Mall area. Happy #AmericaRecyclesDay, Charlotte! In the United States, every Nov. 15 is America Recycles Day, a day dedicated to making a big impact from everyday small actions. At home, at work, at school, and everywhere in between, you can help reduce waste and save our planet’s resources. Since 1960, the country’s recycling rate has increased from less than 7% to 32%, and the Environmental Protection Agency has a goal of hitting 50% by 2030. Recycling is an initiative that all Charlotteans can proudly take part in, and here’s how you can help: cltgov.me/ARD-2024.
