Last night, the Chandler Endeavor program hosted their fall celebration kickoff event + monthly forum bringing together founders, business owners, mentors, and supporters! If you haven't heard, Chandler Endeavor is a free business incubation and entrepreneurial development program offered by the City of Chandler, Arizona that helps innovators in our community achieve their business goals. Not only did she send me the grant opportunity information and encourage me every step of the way, she also gave me a Spanish/English books catalog that I used to help select materials. Her thoughtfulness and encouragement helped me secure this amazing grant, which will grow our bilingual section from 40 items to 185 items. The city is currently seeking applicants for our Senior Crisis Interventionist - Opioid Response position. The new hire will work alongside the Chandler Fire Department to provide on-scene crisis intervention and advocacy including de-escalation, counseling, case management and guidance. Serving as a mentor and instructor to the crisis team will be critical in this role for maintaining a successful response program. Candidates with a master's degree in social work, counseling or a similar study with at least two years of experience in social work or a related field are encouraged to apply.
