The City of Carrollton Public Works Department was recognized and recieved an award from the Texas Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA)- this week at the state workshop in College Station. The Public Works Administration team submitted a report highlighting the departments emergency response efforts from a severe storm back in May 2024 that was equivalent to a EF-1 tornado. The storm covered the entire city limits with significant impact to a large amount of the city's roadways, alleys, drainage channels, traffic signals and other assets. These team efforts were selected as In-House Project of the Year in the Disaster or Emergency Construction/Repair category! Way to go Carrollton Public Works! #cityofcarrollton #publicworks #APWA
