Known for its financial stability, the city maintains an AAA credit rating and has a general fund reserve balance exceeding $80 million. ???Artists?wanted for new public art in the Barrio ? Calling all artists! The city is seeking an artist or artist team to?develop a new public art piece in Carlsbad’s historical Barrio area. Please help us raise awareness of this very special opportunity by tagging an artist and sharing with your networks. And if you’re an artist, keep on reading! ? For this new work of art, the city is looking for an original, site-specific art for a public space that creates a sense of place in the Barrio. The city involved the community at the earliest stages of the project’s development to gather feedback about how the new art could best reflect the Barrio’s neighborhood identity and cultural and historic heritage.
