Welcome to Ca?on City... your "gateway to adventure." Our community has a rich cultural heritage and interesting geologic history. We embrace our past and plan for an exciting future. Ours is a truly special community, with abundant recreational opportunities, vast open space from the plains to the Rocky Mountains, parks and trails, community events all year long, and of course the Arkansas River and the Royal Gorge. If you live here you know what we mean. If you are considering relocating your home or business, you will discover it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.     I am not going to tell you that I live in a greater community than you! Yours is probably great too. I'm not saying that we have better work life balance in Canon City than you do. You may as well. But I do have to say that it's awfully amazing to have a trail head 1 mile from my office downtown. What a great spot for a business lunch!

Our guest speaker will be City Administrator, Ryan Stevens, and Economic Development Team in an interactive and townhall style event. Engage with staff who are interested in YOU!     Once in a lifetime! What a great phrase for such a catalyst project like the Hotel St. Could. Built in 1883 in Silver Cliff and moved brick by brick to Ca?on City to become a catalyst project in 1887, this hotel has stood firm for decades, standing sentinel to all that Ca?on City has been and now all it will become! 2025 brings us new life, new vibrancy and an awesome sense of place, a historic 4-star jewel that will welcome visitors to our community for another 100+ years. Such an exciting time! And what an amazing feat, Unbridled. Thank you all for your vision for and faith in our community, and for your friendship! Come discover, stay and play in Ca?on City!
