Our Burley City Councilors and Administrators are attending the annual Association of Idaho Cities (AIC) conference this week in Boise, Idaho. This conference allows us to network, keep up-to-date on legislation, new trends, and learn how to strengthen cities.

City of Burley is a Municipal Government located in southcentral Idaho within the Magic Valley. Burley sits uniquely within 2 major counties in the region: Cassia and Minidoka. It serves as a spotlight in the region amongst many towns and communities as a central place to visit. Well known for its beautiful Snake River access, close proximity to multiple ski resorts, various recreational/geological sites, rich history in agriculture production, and upheld by strong roots of pioneer history and hard working values. Burley is halfway between Boise and Salt Lake, and halfway between Seattle and Denver. Burley is often spoken of as 'halfway to everywhere' and 'center of the universe'. You will always seem to find someone you know from Burley and that holds strong to its central role in Idaho history and its importance in the Idaho economy. Leaders come in many forms, but in River Rafting, the one in the back guides the direction of the raft, sees and accounts for the effort of everyone in front, and coaches them individually and collectively on how to be successful. The City of Burley continues to work on Grants, such as the RAISE Grant, to see and account for all current and future citizens and have the vision to manage growth in a sustainable and responsible manner.
