Last week, the City of Atlanta Department of Law convened for a staff meeting in City Council Chambers. At the meeting, City Attorney Patrise Perkins-Hooker introduced recent hires, gave special recognition to the hard work of our colleagues, and shared exciting news and updates. This week, the Department of Law’s Strategic Business Services Division took an exciting trip to Cascade Springs Nature Preserve! The tour was lead by Cascade Springs Nature Conservancy leaders David Lloyd Davis and Chinelo Arinze on the over 120 acres of preserved old-growth forest. This Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Atlanta Department of Law strives to highlight the stories of Hispanic leaders who have contributed significantly to Atlanta’s landscape and beyond. Today, we highlight J. Antonio DelCampo. A graduate of Emory University and Georgia State University School of Law, DelCampo became the first Hispanic judge in the state of Georgia with his appointment to the State Court of Dekalb County in 2002.
