The City of Arlington and The University of Texas at Arlington recently received the 2024 Tech-InnovaCity Seoul Smart City Prize for the Arlington RAPID on-demand, self-driving public transportation service. UTA President Dr. Jennifer Cowley and Arlington Mayor Jim Ross accepted the international award, which is designed to promote an innovative yet inclusive smart city model that looks after underprivileged groups.
