Together, they’ll provide insight into the organization’s work of providing specialized mental health and addiction services. Since its opening in 1907, today Rogers offers evidence-based treatment for adults, children, and adolescents with depression and other mood disorders, eating disorders, addiction, obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Episode 75 of Appleton Engaged is LIVE! ?? In this episode, we’re joined by Sheryl Dingman, Volunteer Coordinator and Community Outreach Manager for the Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response Team, and Burgundy Biletski, the team’s Executive Director. Together, they’ll provide insight into the organization’s vital work in supporting local police departments by offering emotional support and referrals to those impacted by trauma. The team’s mission is to ensure that victims, survivors, witnesses of crime, and individuals experiencing traumatic crises are treated with dignity, respect, fairness, compassion, and sensitivity. ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Founded in 1997 by the Appleton Police Department, the Fox Cities Victim Crisis Response (VCR) Team is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization driven by dedicated volunteers. Their mission is to support local law enforcement and emergency personnel by offering on-scene assistance to community members impacted by crimes or traumatic events.
