ACS is looking for contracted winter Transportation Monitors! The role involves responding to calls related to mental health, homelessness, addiction, and other issues not requiring police or EMT. Key responsibilities include: 1. Assessing safety during winter storms and serving as a transit monitor for individuals experiencing homelessness from 8 PM to 7 AM. 2. Providing short-term, solution-focused interventions and developing safety or crisis management plans. 3. Coordinating with city staff and service providers to connect the community to care resources. 4. Disseminating information about city resources. 5. Offering guidance to staff, ensuring culturally sensitive care, and maintaining confidentiality. 6. Preparing reports and maintaining client records. 7. Ensuring visibility within the community. 8. Communicating effectively with individuals in crisis and the general public.
