Conversation creates community! This October's event at City Club was a true testament to our non-profit's motto. It was a joy to see faces light up during a very interactive session, focused on the upcoming election. We are so looking forward to welcoming you again, next month. Our November event is back to the usual time and place: 11:30m on Nov 21 @ the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon The topic will be another good one! *Groundwater Grief, River Relief: The Status and Future of Central Oregon’s Water Supply* We're excited to welcome OPB's Emily Cureton Cook and a panel of water experts as they unpack the complexities of managing this precious resource...in a region dealing with prolonged drought, population growth, and competing needs from agriculture, and our rural and urban areas. Come thirsty, leave quenched as we explore the intersection of policy, hydrology, and community collaboration in addressing the status and future of Central Oregon’s water supply. See you next month! ??

"Which way do you hang your toilet paper roll?" may just have been the most 'divisive' question of last night's City Club event, focused on bridging the partisan divide. It was a big learning moment to see just how much we have in common, no matter the color of our voter registration card. Values triumph over politics and this was evident in the very civil discussions had amongst people who fall on all sides of the political spectrum. We are so grateful to Braver Angels Oregon for joining us from Portland. We also want to thank Central Oregon Daily for joining us and bringing the community such excellent coverage of our event. (Click the link to check out the video: https://lnkd.in/gVTDQM5J) Happy Friday CO!

Today is the last day to register to vote in time for the upcoming Nov. 5th election. Remember, if you've moved, changed your name, recently turned 18, or want to register with a political party, you need to update your registration. Make your voice heard! https://lnkd.in/ggTfUNw
