So proud of what the Women Grocers of America has achieved over the past few years... and is developing for the future. When Heidi Huff pitched me on having Citrus America, Inc. sponsor the WGA, back in 2021, I had no idea how cool an experience it would be. Kristin Popp has continued to forge forward to drive mentorship and growth for our future generation of women leaders in the industry. The WGA took to the main stage at The NGA Show on Monday for Woman of The Year Awards. Congratulations Amy Niemetscheck! Award presented by Kristin Popp, Stephanie Reid, and Greg Ferrara. The Coca-Cola Company and Hillary Garland did a great job of presenting some great macro- and demographic trends and relating this to the grocery industry and the competition for store visits with shifting consumer trends. Finally, Marvin Vines moderated a panel of future food & grocery industry leaders. Miriam Framson, Jenna Krakomperger, Rachel Hereford, and Morgan Kahl shared their own personal and business insights into how they see the industry developing and the needs of younger generations.
