This month the CSJV team has made significant progress at Locust Manor Station as part of the LIRR ADA Upgrades Package 1 Project. This past weekend, the CSJV team successfully removed the temporary train trestle and SOE, backfilled, and restored the permanent tracks at Laurelton Station as part of the LIRR ADA Upgrades Package 1 project. The team also started framing and installing rebar for the new platform deck. With great teamwork and solid planning, everything went smoothly during this 48-hour nonstop work weekend! Thanks to the Forte-Citnalta JV Team, the 68th Street – Hunter College Station, is now a fully ADA-compliant facility and ensures accessibility for all riders.?This project had many improvements including: ?? Three new elevators for seamless access from street level to platforms ?? Two new entrances at the Imperial House Building and 69th Street for enhanced convenience ?? Expanded mezzanine for improved passenger flow ?? Upgraded communications and electrical systems for reliable operation These upgrades reflect the ongoing commitment to providing a safer, more accessible transit experience for all.
