A fabulous first ever Offensive Security Summit held at the Cisco Campus in Bengaluru on March 4 & 5, 2025. We had over ~450 attendees (in-person & virtual) take part in the event. 112 employees took part in the 2 day Capture the Flag (CTF) and close to 300+ Hardware Hackers worked on Badge Hacking (soldering, embedded programming, etc.). We had over 35 Cisco Speakers with 10 Workshops over the 2 day event. There was an overwhelming response to the "Becoming a Hacker Bootcamp" where employees gained insight and real-world examples into the techniques used to bypass, evade and exploit vulnerabilities. Thank you Squadron Leader (Retd) Arif Shouqi for providing your valuable insights on the Cybersecurity Landscape. A large event of this scale needed many people to come together! Thank you to the core teams from India & the US for pulling off this event with aplomb! Thanks also to the Cisco Executives who made time to visit the conference. LinkedIn estimates that 70% of the skills used in most jobs will change by 2030, largely due to AI. ?? If that statistic worries you, Guy Diedrich, Global Innovation Officer for Cisco, has a message for you: "Don’t look at skilling as an event. It’s a process, and it is a process that you will have to engage in for the rest of your career." ??To stay relevant in the age of AI, you don’t need to learn how to code overnight. In fact, unless you work in an advanced tech role, you probably don’t need to learn how to code at all. As Guy suggests, a good first step is to identify ways AI can simplify or expedite tasks you already do. "Find what is fit for your purpose and pursue it," he says.
