Heart-filled Home: We are so excited to open the doors to a new chapter in our Communities In Schools of Central Texas story! ? Today, we recognized our community’s generous support for our #AllinforKids campaign, which established our permanent home in the St. Elmo neighborhood. ? Inside and out, our new home features beautiful and inspirational murals by local artists. Each mural tells a story of the strength of our families, dedication of our team members, and mission of CIS. ? Communities In Schools of Central Texas is in the House—literally! From the floor of the Texas House of Representatives chamber, Rep. Brad Buckley introduced House Resolution 341 recognizing yesterday as CIS Day at the Capitol. It is an honor to be recognized by the chair of the public education committee with colleagues from 27 statewide affiliates and CIS students from Uvalde.
