Circular Action Alliance (CAA) is a U.S. Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) dedicated to implementing effective Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws for paper and packaging. As a nonprofit, producer-led organization, CAA is committed to delivering harmonized, best-in-class compliance services to all producers to advance an efficient and effective circular economy. CAA was founded in 2022 by 20 producers representing the food, beverage, consumer goods, and retail industries. CAA is the only organization approved to implement U.S. EPR laws for paper and packaging, and is operating as the single PRO in California and Colorado. CAA has submitted an initial program plan to operate as the PRO in Oregon, and has also been selected to represent producer interests as the PRO on the State Producer Responsibility Advisory Council in Maryland.

Today, SVP of Producer Services Geoffrey Inch took part in the Keller and Heckman LLP Sustainability Day serving on a panel with Kelly Cheung (Mars), Andy Hackman (AMERIPEN), and Dylan de Thomas (The Recycling Partnership) to discuss Extended Producer Responsibility programs for paper and #packaging in the U.S. He focused on the work CAA is doing to create harmonization across the states and what producers need to know in order to comply with #EPR laws.
