#workwithwade update... Since the beginning of this journey, I've stated I wanted to build and develop... -Brands. -Relationships. -People. Last week I had an opportunity to do all 3. My wife and I took a bit of a mini vacation and visited some of our old stomping grounds in Louisiana. Our time there was very special, and it was great seeing many familiar places that we hold so near and dear. BUT...one of the main reasons for the trip was to catch up and reconnect with Randall "Barton" Howard. Barton and I worked together during my time in Louisiana, and while we were in different areas of the business, our connection was strong. Much like myself, he has a strong desire to learn and absorb all things CPG and grocery retail, and is someone I have the utmost respect for. He and I have kept in touch over the years with the occasional call, text, DM, etc...just staying close and keeping each other updated with our various personal and professional twists and turns. Barton founded Circle The Wagons Inc since I last saw him in person, and one of the primary reasons for my visit last week was to see up close and personal what he and his team have been up to. I had the pleasure of spending some time touring his facility, meeting his team, and understanding the moves they are making to help emerging brands improve operational efficiency and save money in the 3PL space. Led by Chase Russell, CTW has created a 3PL option for emerging brands that is "founder built" with a founder mindset. Their model takes out many of the unnecessary fees and overhead that negatively impact profit while focusing on customer service. It was really eye opening seeing firsthand their approach, and the great care their entire team takes in fulfilling orders. In today's volatile environment where literally every penny counts, it's refreshing to see someone focusing so heavily on a model designed to help and support emerging brands in the 3PL space. Again...in keeping to my #workwithwade "creed"...developing brands is a priority. If you're an emerging brand that is in need of a 3PL/DTC partner, or curious as to the potential savings that might be available to you--I'd love to connect you with Barton, Chase, and the CTW team...what they're doing is really unique and after seeing it in person, I'm convinced the value and outlook they are bringing could have a HUGE positive impact for so many in this space.
