A tremendous thank you to everyone who helped us welcome the new Circle de Luz Class of 2030 this week and who made this new cohort possible! We are so excited to begin working with eight new amazing students and families. A special thank you to SchermCo and Wilson STEM Academy for partnering with us to develop this cohort, to West Charlotte Church at Freedom Drive for hosting us on Wednesday, and to La Palma Foodtruck for the delicious post-ceremony dinner! And a huge thank you to two Latina small businesses who helped make this a special night for our students - NOPALERA who donated T-shirts that will remind our students of their strength and power, and Clay by Xochi (Gisell Munoz) for hand-crafting a one-of-a-kind necklace that reflects the uniqueness and creativity of this cohort. Of course, this cohort wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the 40 Mijas who made the decision to believe in and invest in these bright young women.
