关于我们
Our mission is to empower young adults to integrate their faith into the workplace and beyond, for the sake of the flourishing of greater Indianapolis. We believe God’s people are meant to do the work of God in the space where they spend the bulk of their time – their workplace. Our flagship fellowship provides Indianapolis residents in their 20s and 30s with nine months of spiritual formation, professional development, and civic education. Fellows are given a renewed vision for how the work they do each day, when aligned with God’s heart for mission, is ministry. Ultimately, we hope to partner with God in making Indianapolis a city where everyone has enough and no one needs to be afraid.

Many Christians have grown accustomed to a heirarchy of vocation, wherein we think that the work of priests, pastors, and missionaries is the only work truly aligned with God's mission. Take it a step further, and we might dismiss our own work as insignificant or less-than because it doesn't somehow directly address a social ill or other problem. But here at CCF, we're pushing back against those ideas. We believe your daily work matters--to you, to God, and to our city.

Another November update: Every fall, current fellows go on a pilgrimage through downtown Indianapolis with Larry Mitchell, a spiritual director and friend of CCF. This is always one of the highlights of our fellowship experience! On this pilgrimage, we spent several hours walking across downtown, just taking things in. Every so often, we stopped to reflect on Scripture, hear a story or poem, or ponder a question. This walks are inspired, in part, by these verses from 2 Corinthians 5:16-17: "From now on, therefore,?we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we no longer know him in that way. So if anyone is in Christ, there?is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being!" We are trying to see our?city?not from a human or worldly point of view, but from God's point of view. If Jesus was walking with us (as he often did with his earliest disciples), what would he see? What stories would he tell? What would he ask us to consider about our place and time? This year, some of our experience was novel: Our walk happened on the same day as the Monumental Marathon, which gave a unique energy to downtown. We also saw a new sculpture at Roberts Park UMC, which we shared about here yesterday.

Have you seen the amazing sculpture currently on display at Roberts Park UMC downtown? A few weeks ago, we did our annual pilgrimage through downtown (part of every fall semester in CCF), and we were able to take some time with the sculpture. It's powerful and moving, and if you're downtown I highly recommend stopping by. (401 N Delaware St) The sculpture is called "Let the Oppressed Go Free" and is by artist Timothy Schmalz.

Curious to know what Circle City Fellows is *really* like for those who participate? Join us for an upcoming Drop-In Night on 12/3 or 1/14. You’ll sit in on one of weekly meetings and get a better sense of… ? what the curriculum and activities entail ? the kind of discussions we have each week ? if our program would actually be a good fit for you! Ideal candidates are Christians in their 20s-30s who call the greater-Indy area home and are curious about topics related to faith + vocation. Questions? Comment below or send a DM! We hope to see you on Dec. 3 or Jan. 14. ????

So much exciting stuff has happened in November! Enjoy these photos from our first time as a virtual host site for Women, Work, & Calling's annual event. It was a great day! A special thank you to our corporate sponsors for the day: Thompson Thrift and Wesley Seminary. They are both dynamic institutions doing good work, and we’re grateful for their enthusiasm and generosity—both of which made this day possible for us.
