University of Cincinnati Launches AI Enablement Community of Practice The University of Cincinnati’s Digital Technology Solutions department has initiated the AI Enablement Community of Practice. This initiative aims to foster AI innovation within the university and the broader community, focusing on teaching, learning, research, inclusion, ethics, and policy development. 2. Formation of the Cincinnati AI Catalyst A new initiative, the Cincinnati AI Catalyst, has been established to leverage AI for the benefit of the Greater Cincinnati region. Spearheaded by Pete Blackshaw, CEO of Cintrifuse, the initiative brings together industry leaders, academic institutions, and startups to promote responsible AI development and application. 3. GE Aerospace Partners with Microsoft on Generative AI Tools GE Aerospace, headquartered in Cincinnati, has partnered with Microsoft and Accenture to develop a suite of generative AI tools aimed at enhancing aircraft asset tracking and maintenance efficiency. This collaboration underscores Cincinnati’s role in integrating AI into the aerospace industry. 4. UC Health Utilizes AI for Early Lung Cancer Detection UC Health has implemented artificial intelligence to improve early detection of lung cancer. This advancement demonstrates the growing application of AI in healthcare within the Cincinnati region. 5. Cincy AI Week 2025 Pre-Registration Opens Following the success of the inaugural Cincy AI Week, organizers have announced that the event will return from June 10-12, 2025. Pre-registration is now open, inviting AI professionals and enthusiasts to participate in the Midwest’s largest AI gathering. Practice is crucial for assessing AI risks. So I created an exercise in addition to this cheat sheet! The exercise is evaluating risks for the (fictional) company LocalLingua, using the attached cheat sheet: Here's the (fictional) company description: ??
