The immense impact that Sharon Coolidge has had on this city and on our newsroom can't be contained in a LinkedIn post from The Cincinnati Enquirer. We've had our hugs and gatherings, we've toasted and celebrated but we're not saying goodbye. We're asking you to join us as we wish Sherry all the best in her new role as Director of Communications for Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. #cincinnati #localjournalism

Gov. Mike DeWine signed an executive order in February requiring state employees under the authority of the governor to return to the office full time by March 17 with some exceptions. This comes five years after the COVID-19 pandemic made work-from-home common for about 15,000 state workers. What do you think about this mandate? Has your employer required a return to work? #wfh #ohio #cincinnati #rtw #returntowork #workfromhome #remotework

Nineteen years ago when?Keith Desserich?and Brooke Desserich's 5-year-old daughter Elena?was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, not much was known about the pediatric brain cancer, except that the outcome was certainly death. So the Wyoming,?Ohio couple?set out to make sure their youngest daughter would remember her sister on a blog they called "Notes Left Behind." Blogs were new. There was no such thing as Facebook or Instagram. The internet seemed more private than it really was.?The Desserichs?figured nobody but their family would see it. They were wrong. The?Hamilton County Growth Alliance?on Thursday announced its launch and singled out the construction "of a modern, state-of-the-art arena" in downtown Cincinnati as its first priority. The nonprofit said it will launch a media campaign "highlighting the economic impact that modern arenas have on their cities and the opportunity Cincinnati is missing." The launch of the Growth Alliance's ad campaign coincides with the NCAA March Madness tournament,?which Cincinnati has missed out on hosting largely because of its outdated arena. #cincinnati #economy #opportunity #sports #entertainment #growth

As time goes by, Ruth's has settled into itself as a place with consistent, if not cutting edge, food. There is no chef de cuisine running the kitchen. Instead, a group of chefs and cooks collaborate with each other on weekly and daily specials. David Tape attributes the cafe's popularity to its reliability. "The service is good, and the food is consistent," he said. "We might not be the most exciting kid in town, but our customers can hear each other talk." #cincinnati #northside #restaurants #cuisine #restaurantindustry #smallbusinesses
