Week 36 Golf Course Renovation Update – A Bird’s-Eye View Spring is here, and progress is in full swing! ??? While we planned for winter’s wet conditions to slow us down, the team is now making great strides in the final stages of our renovation. This latest drone flyover captures incredible before-and-after footage showcasing the transformation across the course. From newly shaped bunkers to freshly sodded greens, the course is coming to life! Highlights: ? Holes 5, 6, and 7 are in the grow-in phase. ? Holes 1, 8, 9, 10, and 16 feature newly sodded greens. ? Billy Bunker Gravel is installed in several bunkers, enhancing drainage and playability. ? Fairways are being seeded, and rough areas prepped for hydroseeding. With weather playing a key role in our finishing work, we’re hoping for more sunny days ahead. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Chef Phill is known for his innovative menu development, expertise in large banquet events, and dedication to crafting exceptional dining experiences. Last Thursday, over 50 Cincinnati Country Club employees gathered to celebrate Chef Mark Beggs as he embarks on his well-earned retirement after 32 incredible years of service at CCC. Chef Mark has not only shaped the culinary experience at the Club but has also built lasting friendships along the way. His farewell was filled with heartfelt stories, shared memories, and even the return of former colleagues who came back just to honor him. In the photo, CCC General Manager Joe Zinchini and Assistant General Manager Rob Snider join Chef Mark as he receives a commemorative retirement silver plate, a small token of appreciation for his lasting impact on the Club. ???????? ???????????? ???????????? We planned for slowed progress during the winter months, and we are happily right on schedule! Despite the cold and snow, irrigation installation has been moving right along and is nearing completion around the areas surrounding both clubhouses. Aspen Corporation has made great progress, completing rough-ins of the 12th green and approach area, as well as the rough-in of the 15th green. We’re looking forward to March 1st, when the full Aspen team will be back on site, ready to charge ahead – weather permitting of course! ???????? ?????????? ?????? ???????? ?????????????? ???? ???? ?????????? ???????? ???????????????? ?????????????? ???? ????????!?

Before his presidency, while a federal judge on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Taft was a co-founder and first president of the Cincinnati Golf Club in 1895, the very foundation of what would later become Cincinnati Country Club. In 1924, a merger transformed Cincinnati Golf Club into the Cincinnati Country Club we know and love today. As we celebrate 130 years of tradition, we’re diving into the archives—exploring history books, county records, and club documents to uncover even more of our storied past. ?? Stay tuned! On February 24th, 2024, our F&B team and the Entertainment Committee delivered an unforgettable evening for 80 attendees, featuring a complex, multi-course menu paired with exquisite wines from Gradis’ciutta in Northern Italy. Their dedication and expertise made this intricate event a resounding success – a testament to their culinary artistry and meticulous planning. At CCC, we host many events serving 400+ guests, but it’s these intimate gatherings of under 100 members that create truly special experiences, fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Looking ahead, we’re thrilled to announce this year’s Spanish Wine Dinner, an exclusive evening celebrating the artistry of two renowned Spanish wineries: Marques de Caceres and Finca La Capilla. Their exceptional wines will be perfectly paired with a multi-course menu showcasing the rich terroirs of Rioja and Ribera del Duero.

This annual tradition marks the kickoff of pool season, and it’s always an unforgettable evening. Each year, the event is brought to life with a unique theme that inspires incredible decorations, food, drinks, and entertainment. It’s truly a club-wide effort to create something this extraordinary. Throwback to 2023’s Luau Extreme Party, where the grounds crew went all out by custom-building a massive volcano in our front circle—an epic centerpiece for an epic night!
