Dedicated on a Sunday afternoon almost 8 years ago, this memorial quilt honors our bereaved donors, who, in an act of extraordinary generosity donated their breastmilk following the loss of a beloved infant and/or pregnancy. Each leaf bears the name of a cherished son or daughter with additional leaves placed in tribute to babies yet to be named. While donating milk after loss may not be right for everyone, many find comfort and meaning in knowing their milk can save the life of another precious child: “I would give a mom anything I could if it would help them bring their baby home. This was a gift Evie would have wanted me to make. It's officially official! We're kicking off the 2024 Breast Express tour on July 18th, right here in Maine alongside our partners at Allagash Brewing Company. "“The goal of the ‘Feel Better, Feed Better Tour’ is to improve maternal health outcomes and build baby-feeding confidence by fostering community one city, one parent, one feed at a time,” Pumpspotting founder and CEO Amy VanHaren told Mainebiz." Along the road we'll be connecting with moms and moms to be, delighting them with the resources and support and words of encouragement we all need to thrive, and celebrating organizations that are doing great work to support the parents in their communities.
